The Form

The Form

The objective of this project was to create a unique, original, and distinctive space within the lobby of the newly constructed building, The Form. Its shape and name, combined into a cohesive identity concept, served as a starting point for an exploration of form as an expressive element, shaping the visual character of the space.

The building’s design draws inspiration from a multiplied contour of a rounded trapezoid, rotating around its axis to create a vibrant, dynamic symbol. This concept naturally extended into the interior of the lobby, where the rounded, seamlessly merging sides of trapezoidal shapes are reflected in both the sculptural elements of the reception desk and the wall surfaces. These surfaces, resembling enlarged slices of rounded layers, overlap to form fluid, organic connections.

A significant feature of the interior is the multimedia screens positioned at the ends of the elevator halls. These screens enrich the ambient space with animations, emphasizing the modern character of the interior. Beyond their aesthetic function, they serve as interactive platforms that respond to users—greeting them, providing information, and adjusting the atmosphere according to the time of day and situation—thereby linking the building’s form with color, movement, and mood.

Complementing this concept is a bold color palette and choice of materials, juxtaposing velvety yet raw light gray architectural concrete with brushed, matte gold brass. Reflections on the brass surface introduce warmth, softening the minimalist, austere nature of the architecture. Additionally, modern furniture designs and carefully selected artworks not only highlight the unique style of the space but also add elegance and coziness.

The Courtyard

Equally important to the project is the courtyard, designed with an openness to the city, making it accessible not only to building occupants but also to neighbors, guests, and the local community. Conceived as a collection of niches for relaxation and gatherings, it serves as a space for unwinding and detaching from work, as well as an attractive enclave for local residents.

Filled with lush greenery and a water feature that attracts birds, the courtyard is equipped with benches, chairs, and restaurant patios. It also features special structures, two to three stories high, intended to humanize the building’s scale, reduce the monumental effect of the surrounding glass facades, and draw the eye to lower levels, providing a sense of enclosure and intimacy. These structures not only serve an aesthetic and spatial function but also support climbing plants.

Furthermore, equipped with controllable lighting, they allow for the creation of moods and visual effects after dusk, giving the space an attractive and inviting character. This ensures that the courtyard remains functional beyond office hours, becoming a welcoming area in the evenings as well.

Summary

The result is a cohesive concept encompassing both the main lobby and the courtyard, creating an exceptionally attractive, welcoming, and positive environment. The interior greenery seamlessly transitions into the courtyard’s landscape, blurring the boundary between the building’s interior and exterior spaces. It serves not only as a functional environment for those working within the building but also as an open, integrative space for local residents, sharing greenery and areas for relaxation. This is a cohesive and boldly designed project, distinctive and fostering a unique identity for the building, closely tied to its name and form.
